Birth of the concept

In 1965, a little guy named Michel Blais hitched from his home town of Shawinigan, Québec across the country to British Columbia to expand and explore his horizons. Missing the tasty foods from home, Michel opened Frenchies Montreal Smoked Meat, a chain of restaurants with an all French-Canadian menu.

About the food

Specializing in authentic smoked meat brought straight from Montreal, complimented by homemade Poutine and St. Hubert sauce, Frenchies! completes the French-Canadian dining experience with delicious Tourtiere and Sugar Pies. With one bite, anyone from Québec would declare that “The Real Thing!”
